Tips for Grilled Chicken Tenders Success

You are now! I'm proud to say that you are now a certified expert in chicken tenders!

Even experts could benefit from some tips and tricks every once in a while. These are my top tips:

Let the Tenders Soak: Allow the marinade to allow the flavors to penetrate the chicken. You can leave it for up to two hours. If you have the time, overnight is even better. The pickle juice acid could cause the meat to become mushy.

Don't overload the Grates: Chickens should be allowed to cook through and cooked evenly. This can lead to the tenders being too close together.

Prepare the Grill. You will get great char marks on your tenders if the grill is fully heated.

When It's Cold Outside: Sometimes, I have the chicken tender cravings during winter. Even though I don't have the ability to fire up the barbecue, I can use olive oil to heat the olive oil in a skillet to cook the tenders over the stovetop. While it isn't quite as delicious as grilling them they still taste great.

Serving Suggestions

Are you trying to figure out what you should serve with your grilled chicken? My life story! There are many options.

I have a few side dishes that my family loves, regardless of whether they can't decide or don't know what to do.

Dip: I almost always serve these grilled chicken tenders alongside this chicken dipping sauce.

Fries: Crispy fries make the perfect side dish for chicken tenders. Anything potato-based is fine. I highly recommend making batches of mashed potatoes, and potato salad if you don't have time to make them.

Pasta: You can make a simple buttered pasta dish or add your favorite creamy pasta salad to this meal. You can also enjoy rice (of any type) with chicken tenders.

Vegetables - Sauteed mushrooms, roasted asparagus and steam broccoli. A big green salad is always delicious and simple.

How to Reheat and Store Leftovers

You can store leftover grilled chicken tenders in an open container in the fridge for up to three days. You can heat them up in a skillet on the stovetop or in the oven to warm them.

Can I Freeze Extras?

Yes. For up to two months, leftover chicken can be stored in an airtight plastic container. Before reheating or eating, let the chicken thaw in a refrigerator overnight.
