The breasts of boneless, skinless chicken breasts can be cut into strips and grilled until crispy on the outside. They are then marinated in a milk-based sauce. This is mixed with hot sauce, dillpickle juice and other spices. This meal will take less than 20 minutes to prepare and cook, minus the marinating. So, no excuses! Enjoy some delicious grilled chicken tenders and indulge your inner child.

What you'll need

What are the essential ingredients to make this meal? Before you start to grill, here are some other things that you will need.

Chicken: Slice your chicken from boneless, skinless breasts.

Pickle Juice: Add a little dill pickle juice to give the marinade a great, tangy taste.

Milk: I use 1 to 2% milk most of the time, but you can use any kind you wish.

Hot sauce: To give the chicken some heat! You can leave the hot sauce out if you don't like spice.

Spices/Seasoning Mix kosher salt with black pepper, garlic powder and paprika.

How to grill chicken tenders

Once you have all the ingredients in order, it's time to start making the grilled chicken tenders. It won't take too long, as I said before. The first step is to cut the chicken, let it marinate for a bit, then season it and place it on the grill.

Make strips from the chicken and place them in a zip-top bag.

Marinade: Pour the pickle juice and milk into a bag. Seal the bag, and use a squeeze to combine all ingredients. Finally coat the chicken with the marinade. Let the chicken marinate for two hours.

Season the Chicken: Take the chicken out of the marinade and transfer it to a large platter. Combine salt, pepper and garlic powder with paprika in a small bowl. Season the chicken with the seasoning mixture.

Grill the chicken: Heat the grill to medium-high. Grill the tenders for 3 minutes each side.

How long does it take to grill chicken?

These chicken tenders can be grilled for up to 10 minutes depending on the heat of your grill. For me, it takes between 6 to 7 minutes per side. This number may vary, however, so if you cut into tenders and find it still pink, cook it for a little longer.

What is the Internal Temp to Do It?

You can test the temperature of your chicken to determine if it is cooked. Before you put it on the grill, it should be at least 165°F. A meat thermometer is the best way to determine if tenders are at that temperature.
