Grilled Chicken Tenders Tips to Success

That's it! Now, you are, in my humble opinion a chicken tenders expert!

Even experts can benefit from a few helpful tips every now and again. Here are some of my tips:

Let the Tenders Soak In the Marinade: Allow the chicken to absorb the flavors. It's fine to let the chicken soak in the marinade for two hours, but overnight is better. It is important to not let the meat soak for more than 24 hours as the acidic pickle juice can alter the texture.

Don't overcrowd the grates: The chicken should have enough room to cook and be cooked evenly. It can cause problems if the tenders are too close together.

Pre-heat the Grill. If your grill is not fully heated when you place the chicken on it, you will need to cook it longer. A fully heated grill will produce great char marks.

When it's cold outside: I sometimes crave chicken tenders even though it's winter. Although I cannot fire up the grill, you can heat some olive oil in the skillet and then cook the tenders on a stovetop. Although it's not as easy as grilling them, the results are still delicious.

Serving Suggestions

I'm trying to decide what to serve with my grilled chicken. This is the story of my life! There are so many choices.

No matter if you are stuck for ideas or can't decide what to make, these side dishes are always a hit with my family.

Dip: These grilled chicken tenders are almost always served with this chicken dip sauce.

Fries: Fries are the perfect accompaniment to chicken tenders. You can also make anything potato-based. I recommend making a batch of mashed potatoes if you have the time. Potato salad is also a good idea.

Pasta: This meal can be served with a bowl of pasta or with your favorite creamy pasta recipe. Any kind of rice goes well with chicken tenders.

Vegetables: Sauteed mushrooms and roasted asparagus. A large green salad is always good and easy.

How to store and reheat leftovers

For up to three days, store leftover grilled chicken tenders inside an airtight container in your refrigerator. Reheat the chicken tenders by heating them on a low heat in a saucepan or in the oven at 350°F.

Can I Freeze Extras?

Yes! Refrozen chicken can be frozen in an airtight container for up to 2 months. It is important to allow the chicken to thaw in the refrigerator overnight before you reheat it and eat it.
